Why Everstead Exists

Every student deserves to be known.

That belief is where Everstead began. Over the course of my career — in educational leadership, in higher education, in student advising, and in business — I kept returning to the same observation: students rarely fall short because they lack ability. They fall short when no one has built the structure, the relationship, or the opportunity around them.

Everstead was built around a conviction about what students deserve:

Everstead Academy was created to deliver the educational experience itself — live instruction, small cohorts, career-connected learning, and adults who genuinely know their students. But a school, on its own, cannot solve every barrier a family faces.

That is why Everstead Education Foundation exists. The Foundation was created as a separate organization to address what surrounds the educational experience: access, opportunity, scholarships, enrichment, partnerships, and resources. Where the Academy teaches, the Foundation opens doors — mobilizing a community of donors, professionals, and partners around students who deserve every chance to pursue their potential.

Middle school is the moment when a young person begins deciding what they believe is possible for themselves. If we can meet students at that moment — with preparation on one side and opportunity on the other — the trajectory of a life can change.
